A lesson from Araria

                                                         Felt the change!

I think, I am a bit changed in the last few months. This change relates to my way of listening and responding to the subject matters. Better I would say, I have become more patient than what I was before joining Arun Honda in Mid March-April this year.

I saw Arun Bhaiya, Roshan Ji, Mithilesh Ji, Manoj Ji and all other staffs to give a patience hearing to everyone. I never saw anyone disconnecting the calls without listening the last words or completing his sentences fully. No phone was disconnected or put on hold just because someone was waiting.

In Mumbai, things are totally opposite. We run physically, mentally and virtually also. Messages are exchanged on WhatsApp in shortest possible terms. Most of the times, messages are left to be unattended despite action is initiated. Similarly, some messages are responded not in words but in smileys pasted on the senders' chat. Rush hours always dominate our activities but now I found myself in a different state of mind.

Yesterday, I attended a press conference in BMC. After the PC concluded, I met Kiran, Assistant PRO, and requested him to add in the official WhatsApp group for News. I had requested him earlier also but this time it was different. The wordings were the difference. I drafted a message of around 70 words with full of technical details such as why my presence in the WhatsApp group is important and how I qualify to be a bona fide member of that group where already my colleague is added. To my surprise, I was added within a few hours, I sent the request.

Another example! Last night I had a long telephonic chat with Bunty, who's facing job crisis in Delhi. I was honestly trying to help him. His family is getting marriage proposals but due to not having job in hand, he is badly humiliated within himself. I drafted a comparatively big message to Raghunath Sir seeking his appointment. Sir is suffering from Cancer but he responded. It was again a surprise not because he responded but the way I typed long message, was different from my nature.

Everything teaches something to a person who wants to learn. I feel it.
