निकिता शर्मा का वीडियो जब भी देखता हूं तो लगता है 2016 के शुरुआती महीने की यादें ताजी हो जाती है। एंटॉप हिल के उस कमरे का सन्नाटा। खुले कमरे में धीमे-धीमे सिसकने की आवाज, जिसे सिर्फ मैं सुन पाता था और फिर उन आवाजों का अचानक गायब हो जाता है और कमरे में पसरे सन्नाटे के बीच डायरी के पन्नों पर उस दौर में बीत रही चीजों को जैसे-तैसे लिखने की कोशिश करना। 

मानव की पीड़ा समझना मुश्किल नहीं है। कितनी हताशा और हीनभावना से भर गया होगा वह जब उसने तय कर लिया होगा कि अब आगे जाने का कोई मतलब नहीं है और सबकुछ को यहीं खत्म करना ही एक बचा हुआ विकल्प है। क्या गुजरता होगा उसके आंखों के आगे और कैसा लगता होगा जब निकिता उससे कुछ बोलती होगी। अभिषेक का नाम सुनकर उसपर क्या गुजरता होगा और फिर क्या कोई ऐसा होगा उसकी जिंदगी में जो उसपर आई आपदा में उसका साथ दे रहा होगा! 

आकांक्षा शर्मा उसकी बहन थी । आकांक्षा उसे बचा नहीं सकी न ही मानसिक रूप से इतना मजबूत बना सकी कि वह खुद कोई रास्ता निकाल सके। जैसे की लड़के होते हैं मानव ने अपनी व्यथा अपने तक ही रखी। खुद रोता रहा होगा, खोखला होता जाता होगा लेकिन उसने किसी को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचाया और अंत में खुद को खत्म कर लिया। निकिता जहां तक गिर सकती थी वहां तक गिरी लेकिन उसके बाद और गिरना उसके लिए भी संभव नहीं रहा होगा क्योंकि मरे हुए को कोई क्या मारेगा। मानव तो मर चुका होगा कबका, उसको वह और कैसे मार पाती।

Agra: Almost a month after Manav Sharma, a techie in a private company, died by suicide in Agra, the police on Saturday arrested his wife Nikita Sharma and father-in-law Nripendra Sharma, according to reports. Nikita and Nripendra were reportedly arrested from Gujarat's Ahmedabad.

A reward of Rs 10,000 was announced on both of them. Previously, a non-bailable warrant had also been issued against the duo. The police had conducted multiple raids at various locations in pursuit of the father-daughter duo and another accused in the abetment of suicide case.

Despite multiple summons, Nikita failed to appear before the police, leading to the arrest of her mother and her sister on March 13.

After Manav's death, his wife, in a video, alleged that he used to doubt her of having extra-marital affair. In that video, she further alleged that Manav used to hit her also.

Family Alleges Harassment and Mental Torture

Manav's sister, Akanksha Sharma, alleged that her brother had been mentally harassed and threatened by his wife and in-laws amid ongoing divorce proceedings. “He was warned that divorcing Nikita wouldn’t be easy and that his family would suffer,” she said, adding that the constant pressure had left her brother deeply distressed.

Akanksha also revealed that Manav was shattered upon learning about Nikita’s past relationships, and things worsened when he found out she was still in contact with another man even after their marriage.

Suicide Note and Final Message

Manav Sharma, who worked as a recruitment manager for a tech company in Mumbai, had recorded a video before his death, in which he named his wife as the reason behind his extreme step. His body was found hanging in his home, with the mobile phone containing the final message recovered nearby.

Further investigation into the case continues.
